HFI Journal

The Hawai`i Forest Journal was created to promote awareness of the many aspects of Hawaii’s Forests. HFI published the first issue of the Hawai`i Forest Journal (HFJ) in June 2006. The journal would not have been possible without the support of the A & B Foundation, Will J. Reid Foundation, Kamehameha Schools, HFIA, Martin & MacArthur, PIA Sports Properties, Forest Solutions, Agro Resources, Inc., Bello’s Millwork, Inc., Nelson Lindsay, Na` Aina Kai Botanical Gardens, and Hawai`i Division of Forestry and Wildlife. Of equal importance, is the research, time, expertise and editing contributors provide to produce this informative publication.

As we advance with upcoming issues of HFJ, we are being proactive in sustaining the publication through sponsorship and advertising. As well, we provide opportunities to potential advertisers through mail and electronic newsletter. HFJ has an estimated readership of 3000 with 1500 copies printed. It is mailed directly, free of charge, to decision-makers in the forestry and agricultural sector, approximately 250 HFIA members, landowners, tree farmers, logging companies, sawmills, legislators, commercial nurseries, wood workers, manufacturers, shippers, resource affiliates, libraries and educational institutions.
