Moloka`i

Moloka`i is the fifth largest of the main islands of Hawai`i. Built from two shield volcanoes, East Moloka`i and West Moloka`i, the island's highest point is Kamakou at 4,961 feet on the East Moloka`i volcano.
The forests of this eastern high plateau receive over 300 inches of rain a year. Much of the summit area is protected by the Nature Conservancy in the Kamakou Preserve.
