There are the people. The Directors, contractors, and volunteers involved with the Hawai`i Forest Institute represent many different sectors. They all have one thing in common–an appreciation for the direct connection between sound environmental stewardship and responsible natural resource management.

…there are the ideas. Our Hawai‘i Forest Journal keeps the public informed about many aspects of forestry in Hawai‘i. This, as well as HFI’s other projects, are aimed at bringing well researched and current information about Hawaii’s forests to the public.
